The ritual

Write. Send. Receive.

Three steps, deliberately unhurried. Nothing here is optimised for speed.

Write. Open a blank page and take your time. Drafts stay yours until you decide they are finished. There is no indicator telling anyone you are typing.

Send. Choose an envelope, stationery and a stamp, seal it, and hand it over. The choices are part of the message.

Receive. Your letter travels for a while. When it lands, it waits in a mailbox until the person you wrote to breaks the seal themselves.
